and google mapped my old neighborhood,
tracing the road from the palace past nag pokhari
to my flat in bhat bhateni
such sweet, intense nostalgia for a place
and era of my life: 22 in kathmandu, once upon a time
i'm headed back to the subcontinent on tuesday
for six weeks in india
in the whir of ceiling fans at the consulate
i was halfway there already
