I mean to be one too

There's a quite Gilbert and Sullivanesque hymn sometimes sung on All Saints Day, of dubious theological and musical quality. But it's been in my head as I've mourned the deaths in Afghanistan. While the press release insisted that they didn't think of themselves as saints, each in their own way toiled and fought and lived and died and made the world a brighter place, and they compel me to live fully and faithfully, as they did.
