Sunday: walking to WestSide am service; the Afghan exhibit at the Met; masala dosa lunch at Pongal; birthday shopping for Bubba and Beena at Toys R Us; dinner with friends and kin at Malecon followed by cupcakes and conversation
Monday: birthday party in New Haven; walking 30 blocks home through Harlem; late-nigh school-supply shopping
Tuesday: first day of classes; first day of work in the AMDD office; 2-for-1 Stellas with cousin and husband at House of Brews (on the one month-i-versary of my "bachelorette party" there)
Wednesday: second day of class; kimchi pokumpap for dinner; coming home to a bouquet of roses; walk up to 122nd for small group and a surprisingly rousing discussion of Genesis 36
Thursday: fall weather calling for the seasonal debut of my favorite orange corduroy jacket--and in the pocket: receipt from a cafe in Granada where we tipsily, happily consumed churros and hot chocolate back in March; full day of class and work; coming home to my husband making chocolate mousse, which we ate with raspberries and washed down with a $6.99 bottle of sangria from Whole Foods
Friday: long-awaited haircut
